Many Spanish coins from 1868 to 1982 have two dates on them. The larger one is clear on the coin is the date the issue was authorized and the smaller one hidden in one or two six pointed stars is the actual date that coin was struck. I show both ere when applicable with the date of striking in parenthasis.

SPANISH PELLOFA
From the 16th through 19th centuries tokens known as Pellofa were issued by churches in various cities throughout Spain. They are usually very thin brass, one side with the design ghosting through to the other side, and only occassionally dated, but usually have initials or designs that define the church of issue. They were used to pay people doing work for the church and could later to redeemed for state money.
