This is a bronze staff terminal composed of two very stylized horses facing each other, and it is most likely a military object. The actual size is 116 mm tall, 41.6 mm wide at the widest point, and 11.5 mm thick. It is hollow up the middle and once would have had a rod (most likely of iron) that would have run up the center as part of the attachment device.

Intact with a very attractive mottled red-green patination. A very nice example of ancient Luristan Persian art.
